This was my second official college travel tour to Jaipur after Nainital. Almost every batch mate turned up for the tour, because we enjoyed very much on our last tour and those who did not went on that tour were really jealous after listening our experiences of our last tour so they do not want to miss this opportunity. When I was in my final year of my engineering, our college administration decided on our request to go for an official college travel tour. Among several places, Jaipur was finally decided for the tour. Many of us insisted for a road trip, but the college administration did not agree upon that, finally it was decided that we will go via Train. Though as we all know that in college students are from different backgrounds some insisted some insisted to stay in 3 star hotels, serviced apartments, good hotels and resorts, but most of us were from middle class families most of us told to hire budget hotels, cheap hotels, guesthouses, affordable hotels and more fortunately the Chairman of our college was the member of one charitable trust which had its ashram in the city itself, so most of us were really relaxed about the stay and it was the cheapest one we can get. We reached Jaipur around 10:30 hrs, straight away we went to the ashram relaxed and had our breakfast. A separate hall was allotted to boys and male teachers and a separate hall to girls and female teachers. We kept our belongings at our respective places and got ready for the city walk, I had already told you our ashram was in the middle of the city near to the very famous bapu market. We explored the city on that whole day we did shopping which mainly includes leathers items and garments and girls also did too much of shopping, they bought suits and saris for themselves as well as their moms and sisters. We went back to our ashram in the evening our first day was really fantastic. In the night we had a superb dinner followed by a desert. Now we were in the planning mode for our next day though it was pre planned where we had to go. In the morning till 08:30 hrs everyone was ready and buses were also ready on the gate of the ashram. We went for the sightseeing and to visit palaces. We started with the huge palace, City palace though there was an entry fees which was paid by the college. Then we went to Govinji temple, followed by the beautiful Jantar Mantar, one of the largest and best preserved of Sawai Jai Singh's five observatories. Then we went to the awesome Hawa Mahal, which really meant at any point in the mahal you can feel awesome breeze. There were Rajasthan tourism help centers which were meant to provide Travelogues, Travel Tips, Travel guides even they asked us about our suggestions to improve their services and our reviews and feedbacks on our journey. Then on the next day we went to Jaigarh fort, Nahargarh fort, Jal mahal ending up at Birla Planetarium. We had a train early in the morning on the fourth day for New Delhi. So this was the end of my college trip. Budget Travel Expert Exploring Nook & Corner of India ... Bringing You Stories Tips & Reviews Travelogues Packages & Deals
