On the third day of the Everest Base Camp Trek, you enjoy a free day in Namche Bazaar. Even though today is a rest day, you must quickly hike to get some altitude practice. This acclimatization hike is crucial for your trek. On the third day of your Everest Base Camp Trek, you hike from Namche Bazaar to the Hotel Everest View. The trip to the Everest View Hotel takes about three hours. Today, Syangboche, Nepal's highest-raised airport, is also passed by you; however, no regularly scheduled flights are operating. After breakfast at your accommodation, you begin hiking up a steep trail through the village. It takes around fifteen minutes to hike to the top of Namche Bazaar, from which you can see Mt. Kongde in the distance and the breathtaking 'U' shaped Namche Bazaar. You witness the Mani Wheel and an enormous Mani Rock adorned with Tibetan Buddhist mantras. Once you have caught your breath, you turn left to travel towards Syangboche and the Everest View Hotel. Now, a 30-minute challenging ascent trek offers stunning views of Kongde, Mt. Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo, and Namche Village. After that, you come to a gently inclining section where Syangboche Airport has a rough pitch. From here, you can also view the top of Mt. Ama Dablam. Continue climbing grasslands and little juniper trees to reach the Everest Sherpa Resort. As you turn right and approach the front of the Sherpa Resort, you will see a fantastic 360-degree vista that includes Mt. Kusum Kangaroo, Thamserku, Khangteka, Ama Dablam, Peak 38, Lhotse, Nuptse, Everest, and Taboche. After that, you continue walking for 20 minutes on a steady, level path while taking in the breathtaking scenery and views of the Himalayas from the Hotel Everest View. The hotel's garden patio, accessible from the main entrance, offers breathtaking views of the high mountains, surrounding landscapes, Phortse Village, and Tengboche Monastery. After savouring the scenery while sipping hot beverages at the Everest Scenery Hotel, you can go to Khumjung Village and take a different route or follow the same route back to Namche Bazaar. If you choose to trek to Khumjung, you will pass one project station (Sagarmatha Next), which is the pollution control project station for the Everest Khumbu Region. When you return to Namche Bazaar from the acclimatization trek, you have a few hours until supper. You might utilize this time to explore bakeries and coffee shops, watch documentaries about mountains, or spend the night in Namche Bazaar.> Also, you have the same program from Namche Bazar on the third day of each trekking package in the Everest Himalayas like Everest Base Camp with Gokyo Lakes Trek via Cho La Pass, Helicopter Return Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest Three High Passes Trek, Gokyo Lakes Trek, and Renjo La Pass Trek. But, if you are on the Everest View Short Trek, it is not mandatory to have an extra day in Namche Bazaar because you just trek to Tengboche for one more day higher from Namche Bazaar, and then return the same way to Lukla. A helicopter lands at Everest View Hotel for breakfast and the travellers can enjoy breathtaking views with delicious breakfast during the Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour.
