With National Day 2013 just around the corner, houses all over Dubai have already decorated their houses with the national flag to show their support for the nationwide event.It is just November and already they are preparing - Decorating houses with flags, broadcasting on the radio, even forming events focused on the said day. "The nationalism is simply astounding" Recently, I have noticed a lot of people gearing up for National Day. Like I said earlier, they have flags, events and the like weeks before the event even takes place. The love for the country of the locals as well as expatriates who reside here is just astounding. No wonder it has been known to the world as "The City of Dreams". It has made a lot of people's dreams come true, with that, the UAE needs a thank you that it deserves - and what other way to say thanks to The City of Dreams than go out and show support with some National Day 2013 items? Going out the streets and proclaiming your love of country is the best way to say thanks to a country that has done a lot for you. a country where nothing seems to be impossible and a country that will welcome you with open arms. In shorter terms, the UAE is just beautiful. Some of us have ways to proclaim our love for country. But nothing seems to look and feel better than what the UAE does. The anticipation, the preparedness and the grandeur of what they are doing. Come to think of it, they are still only preparing so what more when the event arrives? The spirit of it all is to show our appreciation to the country that has helped us a lot. It is a way to say thanks - to give something in return. And with that in mind, be proud to wear the national colors. Because after all, without this country there would have been nothing. National day is a day of celebrating as well as remembering the union, a culture based on tradition as well as the progress that it has made throughout the last 42 years.
