Aged parent visa (subclass 804) is a permanent visa that cost AUD6, 010. It allows a parent of someone who resides in Australia as a citizen who is a permanent residence or a New Zealand citizen to reside in Australia. To apply for aged parent visa (subclass 804) you must meet the balance of family test that is your children are living in Australia compared to other countries. The aged parent visa (subclass 804) is in high demand but there are a limited some places that are available. The aged parent visa (subclass 804) applications are normally processed in the order they were lodged. You must meet age required for Australian aged pension. You must be sponsored and your sponsor must be 18 years and above and the sponsor is allowed to sponsor more than one parent. The sponsor is responsible for financial and other responsibilities. You must meet certain health and character requirements and you must be able to get the assurance of support. Make sure do not owe Australian government any money. You may not be eligible for aged parent visa (subclass 804) visa if you had your visa refused or canceled while you are in Australia. Aged parent visa (subclass 804) allows you to sponsor the eligible relative, apply for citizenship, enroll in Medicare, stay, work and study in Australia. The visa starts the day the visa is granted. You are required to be in Australia when applying and when the decision is made. You must follow visa conditions and Australia laws for the time you are in Australia. You can travel to and from Australia for 5 years.
