Have Your Finger Wrapped Around the Kimono Top!

Fashion & Cosmetics
Japanese customs, traditions and culture have long enchanted people all around the world. The kimono was brought to other parts of the world with popularization of geishas, especially after the publication of 'Memoirs of a Geisha' by Arthur Golden. The Oriental appeal of kimonos continues to hit the stores with designers who creatively use the kimono look to storm the world with dress and tops. Kimono inspired tops and blouses are great items to wear for work and play. They are feminine and are usually nipped at the waist to show off that hourly figure.

One of the most popular styles that are inspired by the kimono is the wraparound top. Either sewn on both sides to showcase the 'wrapped' look, or manually tied with a string or ribbon, these tops can be worn by women of all sizes. You can choose one that has fluttering sleeves to create the kimono look, or choose one that has shorter sleeves or sleeveless ones for hotter days. The wraparound top is versatile and can be dressed up or down accordingly. Dress it up with a pair of black cigarette pants and black heels, or dress it down with a pair of jeans and sandals. Even plus-sized women can enjoy the wraparound top. Simply pick one in a darker shade and avoid bright prints.

Dickies has a fabulous range of kimono inspired tops for women. Available in a variety of colors, Dickies provides women with basic kimono tops so you can pick one style in various choices of colors. Available at very affordable prices, you can be sure to find at least one Dickies kimono top to appease your fashion sense. They are available in basic colors like black and blue for easy matching. If you are looking for something bolder, pick one with floral designs to unleash the inner Oriental girl in you.

The kimono top also looks fabulous in the form of a tunic top. Tunic tops are popular because they can be worn in different ways. It is definitely out with cropped baby tees, and in with long, flowy kimono tunic tops. You can wear them with almost anything ' from jeans to leggings to skirts. For work, pair a tunic top with comfortable black slacks. A kimono tunic top is perfect because they provide the wraparound effect and thus avoids you from looking slouchy. You could also wear them with skirts; just be sure that the hemline of the skirt are at least a few inches longer than the hemline of the tunic.

The revolution of kimono inspired clothing has also hit the dresses rack. Forget the Little Black Dress, invest instead in a black kimono inspired dress. With details to emphasize on the bust, the dress will make you look sexier than ever. This detailing also enables one to look curvier; there is usually a ribbon or band around the waist to emphasize on your curves. Get one with shorter hems for day outs and casual parties, or get one with longer hems for evening functions. You could also wear the dress as a top. The waist band avoids you from looking frumpy. Pair them with black leggings or opaque stockings for a night out with the girls.

Kimono inspired tops lends a touch of elegance to any outfit. The trend has been around for a while now, and nothing seems to be stopping this trend from continuously growing. Most women love the trend for its classiness and its lack of an expiration date. Love it or hate it, it's definitely here to stay, so it's best to jump in the boat with the rest.
