Breaking up really sucks. It's a time when you're at your worst, dealing with all the high and low feelings, sometimes you're an emotional wreck. At some point after the breakup, you will most likely wonder if your ex ever regrets about breaking up. Particularly when you thought your relationship would last. Here are some clues that might help you decipher if you ex wants you back. Contact - If he didn't want you back, he would do anything he can to avoid you. A good clue he wants you back is he would contact you directly or through mutual friends. Your ex might contact you by trying to get their belongings back from you but they might just use that as an excuse to see you. If their reasons for contacting you are trivial, they likely just wanted an excuse to see you. If they call you "just to talk" is a sign he is more interested in you than getting his favorite T-shirt back. If your ex is calling just to vent than that is he sign he might regret the breakup. Love and anger have a lot alike. If they send you an angry email, that just means they have feelings for you still, which can easily turn back to love . Rebound Relationships -They might just be dating to make you jealous. So how can you tell he's dating someone just to make you jealous or he's moved on? You can tell by how hard he tries to make sure you know he is seeing someone else. It might cause you pain if he is seeing someone else, but if your ex tries real hard to make sure you know, he hasn't moved on yet and is trying to make you jealous. Some people have gone as far as marrying someone just to let their ex know they are still sexy in someone else's eyes. Those relationships don't succeed because they're not based on love. He Tries to Impress You - If he goes the extra mile to try to impress you, that's a clue he wants you back. Has he brought it to your attention that he has a new hair do or new house or new car? That's because he is trying to show of his accomplishments or acquisitions. What I'm trying to say is that you need to be able to read between the lines and look for signs to to figure out if your ex wants you back. He is probably going to be subtle about getting back together because he doesn't want to make the first move. Focus more on what he is doing and not what he is saying. I know you've heard that old expression "actions speak louder than words". If the words coming out of his mouth don't coincide with his actions, than he must want you you back.
