I saw Miley Cyrus in this hot teal number at an awards ceremony and totally gasped ' it was the perfect color I'd been looking for! My prom was coming up and I had been searching for a special color that I knew not everyone would wear and one that would make a statement. Of course, I didn't want it to be too tacky but just unique enough to make an impression on my important night. So I started looking for teal prom dresses and chose one that was perfect for my night. If you want to wear a unique color that focuses everyone's attention you, I think you should consider this cool color too! The teal dress I saw on Miley seemed to be on the longer side, so I first started searching for some longer teal prom dresses. I loved a design I saw by Faviana Couture that had a long a-line shape and fanned out in the end almost like a princess gown. Mignon also had a long gown that was cut closer to the body and would really give a girl a chance to highlight her curves. I couldn't wait to deck out these dresses in some long heels that would go underneath the skirt part and give the illusion that I had model-length legs! But I didn't just stop at looking for long gowns because I knew that I could also find some shorter, sexy styles that would let me show off my tan. I mean, come on girls, you know you've been working on that tan all spring and need some payback! A short dress would do just the trick for you to emphasize your lengthy limbs. Luckily, Atria had a dress that was cut high on the thigh and gave me the chance to really show off my legs. Take a look at some other shorter lengths too, especially the ones that cut right above the knees for a more demure, feminine look. The bottoms of the dress were not the only variables I was concerned about, as I saw lots of different styles for the top part of the dress as well! I've always loved halter tops because of the natural v-neck it creates on the top and how it shows off my shoulder lines. But maybe you're more of a strapless girl because you've been dying to show off those pearls of layers of rhinestones you've kept in the jewelry box for a special occasion such as this! I would check out both styles of tops to see what suits you, as some shoulders can look bigger or smaller depending on the design of the top. Lastly, if you want to add some fancier touches to your dress, definitely check out some of the teal prom dresses with ruffles. Ruffles on the collar part add a softness to your neckline and lend some grace to your style. Hems with ruffles also work well to make statements of flair as they fan out and make you bloom in your adorned dress! No matter which decoration suits your fancy, I'm sure you'll find a teal prom dress to totally rock out in for your important night.
