Toronto, Canada – GAO Comm (www.GAOComm.com) has released a compact multi-functional ADSL tester which supports ADSL 2+ (G.992.5), ADSL2 (G.992.3) and RE-ADSL (Annex L) and is downwards compatible with ADSL (G.DMT, G.Lite, T1.43) line standards. It is intended for the installation, maintenance and measurement of ADSL/ADSL 2+ networks. This practical tester is especially useful for field testing of upstream or downstream rate measurement, error count, DMM, MODEM simulation, and ping and trace testing. This multi-functional ADSL tester, model 2045, determines the type of ADSL line being tested, automatically matches the ADSL line standard and then carries out tests with a simple push of the “Auto Test” key. It also tests AC/DC voltage, loop feeding current, round resistance, line resistance, line insulation resistance and can estimate line length. The tester has a maximum transmission distance of 6.5km. Test results can be uploaded, saved and printed through included Test Manager Pro Software.The ADSL tester’s embedded software is upgradable via an integrated RS232 interface.
