Such places are also great for you to introduce your kids to the concept of spirituality and faith in a higher being. While religion might not be all that important, having a respect for all faiths is. Taking them around to the Indian temples, Muslim mosques and Jewish synagogues will give them an idea of how all-encompassing the concept of spirituality can be, or rather should be. Even if you are not of a religious bent of mind, these places are great for you to just spend a lazy afternoon. Enjoy the peace and quiet, which is typical of all these places of worship. You could take time out to find out a little bit more about the history of the building, admire the architecture or just soak in the atmosphere surrounding the building.
