St Helens Chamber has achieved the Award for Education Business Excellence. The Award recognises the continued efforts and high standards achieved by St Helens Chamber in its ongoing work connecting education and the world of work for the benefit of young people in the area. St Helens Chamber supports schools across the Borough in the delivery of work-related learning and enterprise education. Around 2000 work experience placements are organised each year. The Chamber also delivers several important projects designed to help reduce the number of young people not in education, employment or training. Projects such as a School Leavers Apprenticeship Programme and New Start Extra allow those who might otherwise become disengaged, to find employment or training.
