Of course, as most people who have been involved in a wedding at one time or another will know is that it isn’t always easy to keep everything as plain or simple as desired. For instance, there are tea length gowns and ballroom gowns of satin, taffeta, and silk which could be selected to match the looks of the bride’s gown or which could easily be found in colors and styles which would coordinate beautifully with even the most formal bridesmaid’s garments. There are even gowns with the same sort of lacework, beading, sequins, and cutwork as adult gowns, but which are designed to survive the rigors of even the most tomboyish girl’s activities.
