With a new airline entering the Cincinnati market, travelers hope that additional cheap airplane tickets and cheap vacation packages will become available. Air Canada is the first new airline in six years to start flying out of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Air Canada will offer two flights daily to Toronto via its regional affiliate Jazz, with prices as low as $169 round trip. Six airlines will now be operating out of Cincinnati. Toronto is viewed as a major market for Cincinnati passengers. Adding these flights opens new opportunities for Cincinnati travelers to use Toronto as a major international transfer point to European and Asian destinations. Delta Air Lines has made major flight reductions out of Cincinnati, with the latest coming on May 1st when 10 percent of its flights were eliminated. Flights have been reduced by more than two thirds at the Cincinnati airport over the past five years. Toronto is a major business destination for Cincinnati travelers, with Proctor & Gamble and Toyota North America operating major operations in the area.
