What causes inflammation? The easy answer is that inflammation occurs when we injure ourselves. The flesh around the injury swells up, and pain sets in. this is natures way of keeping our weight off of the offending limb, thus allowing the limb to heal. We often suffer from inflammation after surgery. The body thinks it has a foreign invader and gears up to fight it off. What causes inflammation? It is an unfortunate fact of life that we now consume 30 times more Omega 6s than Omega 3 fatty acids. This is because of our preference of eating junk foods. This causes us to suffer from arthritis and other arthritic type diseases. Inflammation has been found to be the main cause of most of our illnesses. Specialists are now testing their patients more and more for inflammation, because of this. Sixty or seventy years ago, those of us who had adequate accommodation suffered less from arthritis than we do now. This is because we consumed several meals of fish per week. Fish is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, especially DHA. These days of course, we can no longer afford to eat so much fish because of the contamination of our oceans. These contaminants are lead, mercury, arsenic and the toxins such as the PCBs. These days it behoves us to take a daily supplement of purified fish oil. One that has been through the process called molecular distillation. This process is the only method of getting rid of the PCBs that cause cancer. What causes inflammation? I think I would have to say that most inflammation comes about because of the type of food we eat. We are our own worst enemies. I mentioned that fish oil is good for holding inflammation at bay. A combination of Hoki oil and Tuna oil has been found to double the anti-inflammatory properties of an Omega 3 supplement that has been produced by a company located in New Zealand. This company sells their product on the internet and will deliver their product to your door. One of the many features of fish oil is that it boosts our immune system, as well as helping to prevent heart attacks. It is a well known fact that our brain uses vast amounts of DHA fatty acids. This keeps us mentally fit and healthy. But I must warn you, do not buy fish oil that is made from the liver of the fish. I hope that this article on what causes inflammation?
