The three remaining groups emphasized conceptual relationships. Christian Louboutin most eye catching was "Expressions of Identity," which included one of the stars of the museum's collection, the famous Reconciliation Quilt by Lucinda Ward Honstain of Brooklyn, New York, dated 1867. This amazingly detailed work depicts the maker's everyday life and identity, and it also expresses her hopes for the reconciliation of the northern and southern states after the Civil War. It was displayed with The Women: Mask Face Quilt No. 1 by contemporary artist Faith Louboutin Alta Nodo Platform Purple, which explores the various identities of African American women, and three small quilts from the 1998-99 "Fingerprint" series by Barbara Watler, in which the artist created greatly magnified fingerprints-the ultimate expression of identity-in stark black and white. Another striking group was "Ancient Symbolism," which included three quilts (one from the late eighteenth century, one from 1850, and one from 1998) that depicted the tree of life symbol, each employing different fabrics and techniques. In addition to abundant exhibit text, the museum provided a detailed and easyto- use audio guide, which provided plenty of information about the historical and cultural Louboutin pump red classic of the quilts. This enriched the exhibit experience for all visitors, and it also made the displays more accessible to persons with visual disabilities.The seventeen works in the other inaugural exhibit, Nancy Crow: Cloth, Culture, and Context, trace the evolution of the creative vision of Nancy Crow, a studio quilt artist, and examine the sources of her inspiration. Since the 1970s, when she began experimenting with quilted fabric, Crow has been one of the Louboutin yellow pumps celebrated and influential contemporary quilt artists.
