In 2005, there were almost 70 million visits abroad made by UK citizens. Around 43 million visits were holidays with just under half this figure being package holidays. With so many people travelling abroad each year, it is perhaps not surprising that things do occasionally go wrong. If you have been involve in an accident abroad or suffered or ill health you may entitled to make a compensation claim. Your tour operator may be liable to pay you compensation if your injury or illness occurred as a result of something going wrong with part of the package holiday. A typical package holiday will consist of the flights to/from your holiday destination, your transfers to/from the airport and your accommodation. So if you are inured because your accommodation is unsafe or as a result of the negligent driving of the coach driver on the way to the airport you may have a claim against your tour operator. If you think you may have a case to look at compensation claims, don’t delay! For more information on compensation claims visit http://www.paulrooney.co.uk/
