You can then click to download that file, and packets will be sent to your hard drive from each of the other four until the entire file has been downloaded onto your disk. There is no intermediary hub: the file packets are sent directly to your hard drive from all the other drives that hold the file you are seeking. You will likely receive a large number of results for any movie or music track, but these are all different versions. So, if you have registered with a peer to peer file sharing service, also known as P2P or file sharing, it is possible to download the latest hits or blockbuster movies, but it is illegal to do so. You do that at your own risk. However, if all you want to do is to share your own work or download material where the copyright has expired, then it is legal to do that.
