The current climate in the health care industry is that health care is something that is only for the rich. This can be seen in conversations about the current health care reform in the United States. When you hear people say that why should I have to pay for health care for them? Many people don't realize the value of this type of plan unless they are the group that is in need. There are so many individuals currently without any type of health care coverage. Each day that number continues to grow as the nation's economic conditions fall deeper and deeper in a recession. Individuals covered by company group plans are finding that employers need to reduce the amount it covers for each employee or has to drop health insurance coverage benefit completely. If you have a plan at work, consider yourself one of the fortunate ones. The statistics are increasing each day as more and more businesses struggle to keep business going. People haven't prepared themselves to weather out the current economic storm. They just assumed they were doing fine and they couldn't possibly loose their jobs. Well established companies that have been around for decades have to close their doors. More and more people are finding themselves in need of help. For some unknown reason people don't seem to think that this could ever happen to them and it is difficult to fathom why. Perhaps it is because they have lead a life of fame and fortune or perhaps they are in denial that they could wind up with needs and an inability to take care of them at some point in time. But it can happen to anyone and if you think it can't well you are mistaken. Everyone should be able to access health care when they need it. We don't live in a third world country where people are dying from simple diseases because they live too far from medical facilities or live in a place that isn't technology advanced in medical procedures. In our country, medical care is available to those who can afford it. More and more people are in the category of not being able to afford health care. Hopefully, the new health care bill will be able to rectify that situation. Having decent health insurance is not an option. There are many great Family health insurance plans that are affordable.
