September sees one of the more unusual, yet widely celebrated, commemorative days in the calendar. Sunday 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and down at Knowsley Safari Park they’re preparing to celebrate the day in earnest. Everyone that arrives at Knowsley Safari Park on 19th September dressed as a pirate will be admitted to the park half price. That means adult pirates will pay £7 admission, and £5 admission for the junior pirates. What’s more, all pirates will be allowed one free ride on the Pirate Ship in the Knowsley Safari Park’s theme park. Height restrictions do apply to the Pirate Ship, but worry not, as there is also a Mini Pirate Ship for all those junior pirates so they don’t miss out on the fun. A minimum of three pirate-related items of clothing must be worn at park in order to qualify as a pirate and gain half price admission, so make sure you make as much effort as possible, and of course, brush up on your pirate lingo beforehand.
