An award-winning young chef from the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa, one of the finest hotels in Chester, has been named an ambassador for an apprenticeship society. 16-year-old Todd Lowndes from Ellesmere Port is one of 25 young people to have been chosen to make up the Young Apprenticeship Ambassador’s Network. Each member of the Network has been chosen for their exceptional skills and fierce ambition. The Young Apprenticeship Ambassador’s Network will share their own experiences of being an apprentice with the National Apprenticeship Service, and advise the organisation on what they think future apprentices will be looking for from their apprenticeship. Todd began his hospitality Young Apprenticeship at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa in 2008, and having been named the UK’s Young Apprentice of the Year this summer, he has just signed on to stay at Grosvenor Pulford to complete his advanced apprenticeship. Speaking to the Ellesmere Port Pioneer about the honour, Todd said: “My hopes for the future are to be a Michelin star chef, and have my own restaurant. Being in the Young Appreticeship programme has had a big impact on my life and has made me a better person and given me the drive to succeed.” For more information about the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel and Spa, visit the Grosvenor Pulford Hotels Chester website at http://www.grosvenorpulfordhotel.co.uk/ Ref: GPS-HS-22910
