Many women are put off wearing suspender belts as they are not sure how to put them on correctly. Also many women consider suspender belts to be unpractical lingerie options as they think they look uncomfortable and don't really work that well. In reality most lingerie sets are designed purely for the bedroom. Although these offer a special, one off item of clothing to give you a boost of confidence they are not designed to be worn for long periods of time under normal clothing. Suspender belts that are designed for everyday wear are slimline, sturdy and comfortable and work very well to hold up stockings. The clasps are made from metal instead of plastic and will not come undone easily like with the sexy bedroom versions. Suspender belts can be both practical and sexy, but you do need to choose the right set for the job. Everyday Suspenders There is something undeniably sexy about suspender belts but they also offer a way for you to wear stockings comfortably without them slipping down. This is a good alternative if you do not like wearing tights or stockings with elasticised tops (which can dig uncomfortably into the top of your thighs). You do need to choose suspender belts with metal clasps for additional security and you might also want to consider a girdle design for additional support. Girdles are simply more robust suspender sets that have a deeper belt section. If you want to wear your suspender belts for the day then you need the designs with more straps. Ideally a six strap suspender belt would provide the best support (two additional side straps) but there are not that many available so you may have to settle for a standard four strap option. A top quality belt should have slightly longer straps at the front in order to provide the best fit. Sexy Suspenders If you want to wear suspenders for a special evening out then there is a lot more choice available. You will not have to worry so much about their staying power and can opt from some very sexy and original designs. Sexy suspenders tend to go for style over durability so will most likely have plastic clasps. These can come undone so you may need to adjust them during your night out. If you want to wear sexy seamed stockings with your suspender belt then you need to avoid designs with side straps as these can cause the seam to sit off centre. If you are going to be wearing a shorter skirt then you to need to make sure you choose slightly longer stockings that will sit high on your thigh. Flashing a glimpse of the top of your stockings when you sit down is sexy, but walking around with them constantly on display is way over the top (unless you are in the privacy of your own home!).
