Max Brick and Tom Daley have struck gold in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. Brick, 18, and Daley 16 won the 10 metre synchro event in India this morning. The English duo took the title ahead of Australia with Canada third and Malaysia last in a four-team final. Brick and Daley enjoyed a solid final dive to end with 439.65 to beat the Australians by 15.84pts. Max Brick, who is based in Southampton and is sponsored by Trethowans Solicitors said: "I am so happy. Hopefully there's more gold to come tomorrow (10m platform). "We've been training hard and working hard and it all paid off." "I can't keep the smile off my face." On his synchro pairing with Brick, Daley said: "We could really become a strong synchro team. If we work hard and train hard we could become a force to reckon with." And he added: "It was a very tough event but we have been putting a lot of work in. "We did one of the hardest dives in our list but we pulled it off and we got a massive personal best as well. "We wanted to come here and do well and to get the gold was the icing on the cake."
