Sky Sports’ 3D television has been a big success since it was launched at the beginning of this year, and the satellite channel has recently announced that it will be expanding the service across more of their sports coverage, including last month’s Ryder Cup golf tournament. Sky first focused their 3D campaign on their top class coverage of Premiership football, and Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United at the Emirates Stadium back in January was the first game to be screened in 3D. This “test” screened proved to be a massive success, and as a result Sky Sports began a roll-out of the 3D TV service across Britain back in April. The Sky 3D revolution continued in the summer with the launch of the Sky Sports 3D channel, dedicated to screening a whole host of headlining sports events. The recent 3D coverage of the Ryder Cup caps a summer of 3D sports on Sky, including cricket and rugby league. 3D football is set to take Britain by storm, with the service currently available in over 1500 pubs and clubs across Britain, and satellite communications company SCC International can install the 3D TV service in your public establishment with the greatest of ease. As well as the introduction of 3D TV, SCC International are also involved in a number of high-profile TV and satellite projects, including the continuing Digital Switchover in Britain. The programme aims to bring digital television into every home nationwide before the analogue signal is eventually turned off permanently towards the end of 2012.
