In the last two hundred years, the telecommunications are something compulsory and normal in our lives. They started their existence from the telegraph and developed to analogue phone, radio, television, to reach the peak with nowadays communications like GSM, computers and digital television. The best part of the DTV (digital television) is the HDTV (high definition television), something new and extraordinary which has so many merits that it can be compared with the seventh miracle of the World, the cinema. It is hardly a coincidence that we call the new float and slim televisions home cinema, because the profit that can be distil is transformed to one extraordinary entertainment with remarkable picture and sound. However, we need to add one extra thing to the thin display, set of amplifier and stereo-surround speakers. There is no doubt that the HDTV receiver does most of the job as it has the Dolby surround source and it is the device that outcome the perfect and high qualitative picture and sound signal. In fact, if we start to examine how this happened, how we are now able to watch something so exclusive and incredible, we will see that the process has taken many years of survey, exploring and sampling. The beginning was some year between the World Wars, when the TV signal was transmitted for first time on scope receivers. After that the wave-analogue technology started to develop due to the ‘’Cold War’’ and the improved telecommunications. The transition from black and white to colour RGB television was long, but it gave its results. In the end of the eighties of the last century, the first public usage of cables was granted. Ten years later, one procedure of digitalizing started slowly to enter the public television. This process, maybe from economical point of view, also was developing deliberately until the moment when the high definition television was invented and presented to the world. Moreover, now there is a law, for instance, that obligates every single country from the European Union to make implicit transitions from analogue to digital television. Once only one standard of broadcasted TV signal is established in Europe, this will contribute a lot of benefits and conveniences. One of these profits is the HDTV. The high definition TV has one major parameter that makes it the best television. The scientists called it resolution and it is divided into two formats HD Ready (1280 x 720i pixels) and Full HD (1920 x 1080p), that represent this high picture quality. Consequently, more dots, more usefulness, because that way we will have more clarity about every detail on our screens.
