Banner advertising can give you massive returns on your investment because it's one of those few advertising methods that don't need to prove themselves. In other words, banner advertising is being implemented by lots of businesses, irrespective of size, and they are seeing great results. If you position your banners correctly and on the proper sites, you will receive a huge response. But getting to that stage won't happen overnight, since you'll have to learn the ins and outs of running a successful banner ad campaign. Given below are 3 simple banner advertising tips to help you make your campaigns more profitable.

Your banner graphics need to be optimized properly so your ad loads evenly and completely. If your ads don't load the way they should then it will obviously affect your click-through rate and you won't get the kind of response you should. As long as your graphics are not offensive to your market, the thing that makes it happen is the text or copy you put on your banners. You're not putting up your ad to impress people with your designing skills, but to get traffic. Whether or not to use flash animation is up to you, although we do not recommend it - but you can always test. No need to go off the deep end with Flash animation. You do know, we hope, that excessive Flash can be highly annoying when you're trying to read something on the page.

Naturally, your banner ad copy is extremely important, and you'll need to know how to create that short copy that converts. You should always test your banners by rotating, and you can try offering different benefits and testing them.

There are many approaches to copy ideas, and the bottom line is you'll never know until you use it - but be sure to test. What you have to do is make the reader extremely interested or curious about what you have for them. The good news about the copy is there isn't much, but the challenge is that it needs to move people to action.

Last but not the least; your banner ads need to be to the point. Don't go ahead and try to add everything and the kitchen sink in your ad to make it appealing. Remember with banner copy simple is best because it will be very clear. When your designs and copy are very simple, then there is no need to find someone to outsource to and pay them well. First, this will make your ads heavy, which will slow down the loading time.

Another reason to stay away from intense graphics is they can overpower your copy, and that is something to be avoided at all costs. If you become knowledgeable about banner advertising, and you begin doing it then you'll see how powerful it can be. The planning and setting up stages of your banner campaigns are extremely important, and please rotate your banners and test.
