When you go to the market, you will find a lot of saws available. This means that you will have to be more informed on the kind of saw you are looking for and the purpose you want to undertake with the saw. If you are a professional dealing with installation of tiles, you will need a high quality wet tile saw. For replacement tasks, renting can be a solution. However, you may not be saving a lot since you will need the saw in future. Following is a suitable wet tile saw buying guide. There are three varieties of wet tile saws you can choose from: standard sliding tray, small and fixed tray and overhead rail saws. Small tray wet tile saws are the simplest to use as they only require you to push the tile across the blade. For the sliding tray, it has a tray that is lubricated by water. Water helps in keeping the temperature of the saw and blade low. The third one is known as simply ‘overhead’ rail saw. For this kind of rail saw, the tile will remain fixed while the blade cuts through the tile. If you are just looking for a saw for the purpose of repairing your tiles around the house, you can buy the fixed tray wet tile saws. These saws are relatively cheap and portable. The saws are characterized by small saw blades suitable for basic household chores. The standard sliding saw is popular among professionals. It facilitates a faster cutting speed than the fixed tray type. It also accommodates a tile more easily. The spare parts for a sliding wet tile saw are easily available. The spare parts are packed in either steel or iron boxes. The steel boxes are more durable and costlier than the plastic ones. For the overhead saw, the tile is held on an overhead rail which also holds the mortar. The blade will be pulled just across tile as it cuts. Just like in other models of tray fixed saws, there is no side restriction on this saw and hence you can cut any measurement of tile you prefer using this saw. The diamond blades tend to be of higher quality when compared with other varieties. Diamond with thick cutting edge lasts longer than those with thin edges. They are also more expensive. Diamond blades with thick cutting edges are suitable for use with wet tile saw.
