Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has launched this 13.56MHz RFID Reader/Writer Module, a tiny Mifare® Card RFID reader/writer module used for custom hardware development. This custom-built chip is an ideal device for system integrators providing a high performance, cost-effective platform to provide almost any device with RFID reader technology. The high frequency Mifare mini RFID reader/writer module, model 713004, operates at 13.56MHz and provides industry-leading security at a reasonable price. The module supports multi-detection and is easily installed. It can read /write ISO 14443 transponders at a distance dependant on the antenna used. The reader module has a baud rate of 19,200bps and communicates with a computer via RS232 and TTL interfaces. Additionally, it has a minimal power requirement of only 5V DC, 100mA.
