Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has called for an emergency meeting early next week with Yves Saint Laurent Shoes executives of the country's telecommunications industry, in a bid to defuse a widening controversy over the award of a much-coveted licence to a unit of the YTL Group. Mobile telecoms operators are up in arms over the government's move to award YTL Communications with sole rights to the 700MHz spectrum band, Jimmy Choo Elaphe blue Platform sandals to the operation of the 4G high-speed wireless network. The YTL Group, controlled by businessman Francis Yeoh, is a relatively new player in the telecoms sector, and the licence will give the company a stranglehold over the next wave of new technologies in the sector, called Long Term Evolution (LTE), which will power the 4G market. Landing the 700MHz spectrum means YTL can Jimmy Choo Elaphe Platform sandals shut out other telcos, or resell bandwidth to them at a premium.
