Many people want to make money online but only a handful of them actually made it. Before learning the basics and fundamentals, they simply jumped in by creating and promoting the products they think what the market wants. When the result turns out to be the opposite, all their time, money and effort will be gone to waste. Making money online is like everything else that you can learn and develop a skill from there. Such as cooking, driving, playing piano, golfing, swimming etc. Doing without learning and learning without doing both led to failure. In order to succeed, knowledge and action must go hand in hand together in order to plan and achieve results. The same rule applies to internet or affiliate marketing. How great the hype the gurus generated, there is really no magic or push button from my 2 years of internet marketing experience. The reason I am saying this is because when people signed up for courses be it online or offline coaching, that is what they are usually looking for. Just because the gurus say online marketing is the fastest way to earn, they blindly assume finding and pushing that elusive magic button will make them rich immediately. So after signing up, they tried it out for a few days, 1 or 2 weeks. What nothing happens, they went online again and look for another program. But even when they joined another program, the same trend continues. In the end, they keep hoping from one program to another. Not only are they not making money, they ended up poorer than before by spending all their hard-earned money on those programs. My good friend and mentor Max Stiegemeier once mentioned in his prelaunched Elite Mentorship and Youtube video that making money online is no rocket science if you know how to promote properly. The way I see it, many people failed to earn online is because either the system is a fraud or the system is proven but they did not give themselves time to develop and achieve success. . In every school and job, there is a system you and I need to follow in order to achieve results and success. Because we are so closely monitored by our teachers and bosses, we have to comply whether we like the system or not. In internet marketing, there is also a system. Only this time we are not closely monitored by anyone. After all, this is our business and we are responsible for our success or failure. But even so, we should not let complacency get in our way. If we signed up for an internet marketing course online, we still need to discipline ourselves to watch the videos, take down notes, read the training guides and implement the methods that the gurus want us to follow. We also need to contact the gurus or vendors whom we bought the courses from should we face any problems that we are not able to solve ourselves. There are usually 2 methods. The free methods and paid methods. If you are someone with a tight budget and does not want to spend money, you should start with free methods. Once you made money, you may consider reinvesting some of your profits into paid ones. The free methods usually consists of keyword research, article marketing, blogging, classified advertising, social media, video marketing and web 2.0 while the paid ones are banner advertising, Pay Per Click or PPC advertising and media buys. You should set your daily schedule or timetable. If you are unable to or simply does not have the discipline to, go and get the guru or vendor to implement one for us. For myself, I give 1 month to learn and apply each strategy in ABC format. A for article marketing in first month, B for blogging in second and C for classified advertiing in third so on and forth. Though making money online will not make you rich immediately, it will gradually so long as you give yourself time to learn and most importantly, take action.
