"SuperXero" was started in San Jose California in 1996. The name is probably unfamiliar to you however this was the group that cleverly put together elements of Rap and Rock music. This was the year when six young men got together to found this band, Brad Delson on lead guitar, Mike Shinoda on vocals, Rob Bourdon on drums, Dave Farrell on bass, and Mark Wakefield as the lead singer. The name "SuperXero" was quickly altered to Xero due to the unpopularity of the name. This negative crowd reaction prompted the lead singer to resign. Two years after the successful debut album launch, "Linkin Park" launched "Projekt Revolution", which brought together different bands and artists from 2 different genres of hip hop and rap. A year later, an additional album, "Meteora", was released. Then a year after, another record, Collision Course, was released. The Hybrid Theory moniker was altered to "Linkin Park" due to legal concerns. Another band already had this name as their record label.
