Most people believe that the hockey game had influenced many people , they are old people and young people even the females and kids are attracted to the hockey game in Olympics With the National Hockey League, NCAA college hockey, the Olympics, and world tournaments, fans can get their fill of thrilling and pulsating action, whether watching on television or attending the game in person. Let's look at a few of the most memorable match-ups in the history of playoff hockey. New York Ranger fans had waited over 50 years to see their team win an NHL championship with the same team ravens football jerseys. Then in 1994, the Stanley Cup trophy seemed in reach. The series was tied at three and the Rangers were playing the Vancouver Canucks in the final game. The last 20 minutes saw the Canucks playing their hearts out and making it fascinating. In March 2010 Union College and Quinnipiac were battling it out for 90 minutes of overtime after 60 minutes of regulation play before a winner finally emerged. This is the longest NCAA hockey game in history. The Canada Cup Finals of 1987 were a treat for fans. In the deciding game 3 between the Soviet Union and host Canada, the score was tied with less than 2 minutes to go. Then came a brilliant play between Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux for Canada. A perfect shot from Gretzky was received by Lemieux and the goal was scored. And a championship won for Canada. Improbably tied the game once again and subsequently won the game in overtime. The Soviet team in authentic nhl jerseys was well trained and had beaten NHL teams. In the "miracle on ice" the Americans beat the Soviets and went on to win the gold medal. Whatever the sport, great games contribute mightily to making new fans and keeping the existing ones. In the case of hockey, it is a sport rich in tradition and remarkable contests.
