Our real estate agent recently sent us a listing for a house that went up on the market a few days ago. We were looking for something relatively inexpensive to use as a place to stay whenever we visited Colorado, which seems to be about once a month now. Usually, we stay with relatives, but cramming our four children in with their five children, let alone the four of us adults, can be a bit stressful. Since we are going to be down there anyway, we felt that it might be best to have our own place. We would be able to stay there for one or two weeks out of the month, and when we are not there, someone would be able to watch it for us to help prevent theft. We discussed the possibilities with a local real estate agent, and he began compiling options for us. We went through one house a few weeks ago that was a major disappointment. We thought it would be ideal, until we got inside and saw that the walls were covered with black mold. The roof also had some problems and would have required the help, aid, and assistance of an experienced Denver roofer to get it safe and up to snuff. Sadly, we had to turn that one down, and our agent told us that he would not be willing to sell it to us anyway. We were pleasantly surprised when we checked out the newer listing. It was absolutely perfect and we could move into it right away. It pays to work with the right people.
