Many of my friends and relatives pride themselves on calculating and filing their own taxes every year. My sister in law is one, and she used to brag about how much money she saved by not paying an accountant to do her taxes every year. After my wife and I were married, we sat down to do our taxes, and after looking at the forms, I knew that I had no idea what I was doing and that it would be too much of a bother for me to learn.
