The U.S. elementary schools where daughter is in, invite parents to attend the annual open teaching. That day though time is tight but there are quite a few tricks. Schools in the notification mentioned, parents can look at pupils having classes, if you have interest, still can stay and eat lunch together with children. That day, arriving at the school, after the teacher talking over, I just caught in the children in the library activities. I hurried to the library; the librarian is giving children the lecture. Normally, we at home always remind children watch less TV. Before participating in the open teaching I really don't know, through watching TV learn knowledge is the main teaching method of U.S. elementary schools. That day the library teaching was very optional, around a TV, like watching TV at home, children cheerfully listened to the story. The interesting story made the children laugh. The children are watching TV, librarian reminded them timely write down the main information. After watching TV, as the teacher request, each child borrowed an appropriate book from the library book level. I found that these six or seven years old children understand rules better, queued quietly and patiently waited for librarians to give them do good proper procedure. I was amazed at such little children with this quality, After the children got books, the whole class queued to return to the classroom, each person read silently for a moment. Next activity of open teaching is to let the parents attend lecture of homeroom teacher in the classroom. The teacher sat on a similar lecture rocking chair; children were easily sitting on carpet, gathered around the teacher, and carefully listened to the teacher to read. Occasionally, in reading clearance, the teacher will stop to asking questions. These children put hands up and looked forward to the teacher to call his/her name. This day, what the teacher read, is relevant with a Valentine’s Day and love. When I read couple kissing page, the teacher inspirited these first-year children: mom and dad can kiss, male and female undergraduates can kiss, and dating heterosexual people before high school should be careful, can't literally kiss. On such occasions, about this topic, teachers and pupils were natural and appropriate; just don't know whether these children understand a teacher's instruction.
