“It’s hard not to be clichéd when it comes to describing the brilliant time we had at the Intercontinental Mauritius. We had been to the island before and had an excellent time, and now that the kids are grown up and doing their own thing we thought it was time to give it another try. The last time we holidayed here we did all the tourist attractions, probably too many to be honest, well, there is a lot to see. This time we wanted to stay put and just have a really relaxing time. The Intercontinental Mauritius was a great choice because there’s so much to do at the resort. For a start there are five restaurants to choose from and the food is absolutely amazing at all of them. Like most of the beach resorts on the island you have to go a long way to beat the fresh sea food on offer, and don’t be scared off by some of the more traditional Creole food, it is a completely different style to what we Europeans are used to but it’s also delicious. As well as all the restaurants there are also six bars at the Intercontinental Mauritius and they have regular entertainment from local bands and traditional dance troupes, they even turn one of the two pools into a dance floor at night. Our roof top room had its own private terrace with the best view over the ocean you can get and a Jacuzzi too. The accommodation is exceptionally comfortable, air conditioned and the bathroom facilities are first class including a big stone bath and a shower. The Intercontinental Mauritius has some great deals too. We’d booked quite early in the year and by doing that we managed to get a free upgrade to all inclusive but we only paid for half board and in a luxury resort like this you can’t beat an offer like that. We both love swimming or sailing and the boat house, which was literally three minutes from our room, is well stocked with all sorts of gear to keep you occupied on the water. We hired bikes one day and cycled off to Grand Baie, its only fifteen kilometres away. The Intercontinental Mauritius as far as we are concerned has to be one of the best resorts on Mauritius and even though we know the island quite well now we’ll definitely be back here.” Visit Mauritius Connection to know more about Hotels in Mauritius.
