Whether it’s taking your little sister to the zoo or arranging a meeting between two colleagues, you must deliver on your commitments. Don’t allow yourself to be bogged down by excuses such as, “I don’t have time to do it today. I’ll do it next week.” Learning how to build character and leadership involves taking all promises - big or small - seriously. Step 5: Always be prepared. Nobody wants to be caught with his pants down. If you really want to be the kind of person that leaders are made of, then you should make it a habit to be prepared for anything.
