Cloud Computing is the latest technology which has helped several organizations to cut down the capital investments and reduce the expenditure on IT infrastructure- be it hardware or software. Cloud computing is now not a new phenomenon and many businesses knowingly or unknowingly are sharing public cloud hosting services or enjoying the benefit of privileged services of private cloud. Similarly, the evolution in cloud computing which has combined the characteristics and agility of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) while addressing the concerns of security, accessibility and expertise of computing needs of enterprises is known as enterprise cloud. It can be understood as a computing cloud which is based on the architecture of mission critical computing needs of a business. Like other cloud based services, it is a cloud service that supports the needs of computing, storage and networking of a business. It is a virtual server which creates virtual resources for customers. It is again, a customized process where a customer pays as per the usage. A business can add, remove or enhance the memory or processing power as per its needs while making computing and IT better, safer and lot more cost-effective. This cloud is exclusively made for businesses and enterprises for whom security and availability of data is always a concern and should be san any big and inactive server units. Enterprise cloud is a platform which serves the resources such as software or hardware whenever it is needed and required by a business. The cloud concept for enterprise helps customers to enable creation and management of resources such as CPU, Memory and storage. Businesses can also balance loads and firewalls allocated to them without high expertise and technical knowledge. With this, a business can meet up the standards and necessities of scalability, performance issues and security concerns. It is too early to say that companies have fully adopted the idea of enterprise computing because big companies are yet busy preparing huge datacenters to accommodate their needs of hardware and software.
