Claude Monet born on November 14, 1840 was the founder of the French Impressionist painting. He was born in a business family dealing in the business of grocery. It was the worst incident for this great painter. His wife died at a young age because she suffered from Tuberculosis. She suffered from this life taking disease during her pregnancy and left this world on 5th September, 1879. This incident has taken Monet into depression and he detached himself from rest of the world and concentrated only on his paintings and this worked positively for him. The paintings that Monet created in depression were the best paintings of the 19th century. After the death of his wife, Monet started working in partnership with Paul Durand-Ruel, a French dealer. In the last decade of his life, his eyes suffered from Cataract.
