Romantic Movies which portray passionate relationships between men and women have always held a special place in our diverse cultural heritage. Movies about great love affairs have been made from the classic stories of Lancelot and Guinevere, Heloise and Abelard, and Romeo and Juliet, and Othello. These timeless master pieces are praised as symbols of physical compassionate and psychological devotion. Although they are most often regarded as love stories, the literary foundation of these romantic movies is that of tragedies worth telling. Love Spell is a fantasy and romance-based program airing on ABS-CBN that tells a different love story each season with a new couple. Its first episode was aired July 2006. And till the present date it has extended to six seasons on air. First five seasons consisted of 3 episodes each but the sixth season is extended to 11 episodes. Each episode conveys a beautiful blend of love chemistry between unique couples for each episode. A romantic movie by the same name of love spell was released in 1981 with lead roles by Richard Burton and Kate Malgraw. An other celebrated romantic movie is love story released in 1970. Love story bagged several awards with a lead cast of Ali Macgraw and Ryan Oneil. The story circulates around the two. Harvard Law student Oliver Barrett IV and music student Jennifer Cavilleri share a chemistry they cannot deny - and a love they cannot ignore. Despite their opposite backgrounds, the young couple put their hearts on the line for each other. When they marry, Oliver's wealthy father threatens to disown him. Jenny tries to reconcile the Barrett men, but to no avail. Oliver and Jenny continue to build their life together. Relying only on each other, they believe love can fix anything. But fate has other plans. Soon, what began as a brutally honest friendship becomes the love story of their lives. Galician researched that media represented images in movies, and advertisements affect or reinforce unrealistic ideology about romantic relationships. Furthermore, Bachen and Illouz (1996) discovered that media images affect children's perceptions of romance. They noted that from watching such media, children associated romance with excessive and expectation knowledge about relationships. One should not get a picture that love on television is similar to love in real life. Mass media influences romantic partners to have negative perceptions about their romantic relationships, possibly to the point of terminating their relationships. The point is that movies about romantic love in today's world portray it as something that doesn't exist exclusively between male and female. Movies recognize and indeed, celebrate the individualism of the characters, with their strengths and weaknesses. They reject the ideas of human beings as bland, mindless creatures without vision or spiritual aspirations. Movies place in the forefront ideas which cause exploitation of hormonal balances and project forward an image of love which may not be suitable but still is passionate!
