The golf lob shot is a seldom utilized shot that will need frequent practice to be able to perfect, but it's really a great precision shot available for you. The shot is ideal only when it's carried out close to the green (from about 50 yards in), and when you need the golf ball to get up quickly and land with little roll. Take the club head only to about the 9 o’clock position, maintaining balance throughout. Keep the face of the club open at impact. I take advantage of a strong grip with this shot, as I must be certain the clubface will not remain too open so I would “fluff” the shot. 4. The follow-through really should end at the three o’clock position. It is important that you accelerate down and through the golf ball at impact, because the shot can turn into a disaster if the face of the golf club doesn't make initial contact with the ball.
