Often containing characters with large eyes and small noses and mouths, anime movies are easily recognized by the fact that they are movies with surreal yet interesting content. Anime is said to have originated from the English word animation. These animated cartoons used to be hand drawn in the past, but as technology rises, most of them are slowly shifting to computer generated art. There’s really not much of a difference between hand drawn and computer generated anime movies, except that computer generated anime movies have more vibrant colors than the former. Anime movies first became popular in the 1960s when several Japanese animators made their way to mainstream movies. All of these animated movies came from Japan; hence, most of them reflect the country’s culture. Despite its origins, many people of different nationalities and races appreciate anime movies so much that even if they’re not Japanese, they feel that there’s some connection between them and the country. Anime movies are made available to other countries as Japanese animators allowed their shows to be released overseas. This entailed other nationalities to deal with subtitles to understand the script. To make it easy for people who watch anime movies, most anime movies nowadays are dubbed by local actors and actresses. Although it requires talents in voice dubbing, most translated anime movies worked perfectly well for the American audience. As the love for anime continuously grows, countries like America have adapted this art of filmmaking and mixed it with their own. Although it’s fairly difficult to know why people watch anime movies, there are certain things that make anime movies entertaining for people. The fact that it shows dynamic characters who seem to be uninteresting at first makes the storyline more enticing for the viewers. They are not what people see in usual TV shows or films, mixing drama, action, and romance with imagination, giving viewers a different taste of film viewing. Today, the love for anime movies has evolved from simply watching them to emulating them in real life. As the number of people who watch anime movies increases, the number of cosplay participants also increases. There are now more reasons for film outfits to venture on animated movies as anime has become a worldwide phenomenon.
