Now that golf season is almost here for most of us, I think it is a good time to consider some of the hot new golf drivers available on the market. This article is not meant to be an all-encompassing look at all the new drivers out there, but merely a look at a few that we thought deserving of taking a closer look at if you are looking to add a driver this year. As usual, most companies are now out promoting their hot new golf drivers, so let’s examine a few. NIKE VR PRO It has a thin crown to save weight, a hosel that allows for 32 adjustable settings and a variable-thickness cupface to improve off-center hits. The adjustable hosel seems much less noticeable in this year’s version. It has a very powerful sound and feel. TAYLORMADE BURNER SUPERFAST 2.0 Their philosophy is to help golfers create speed through a lightweight club. A 48 gram shaft gives the club an overall weight of less than 280 grams. A sloping crown and low-riding sole push the center of gravity low to give a higher launch with less spin. Golfers who use it call it long off the tee, but forgiving. CALLAWAY DIABLO OCTANE Using a lightweight carbon-fiber crown, they have reduced the weight of this club head to just 195 grams. The head still has a low center of gravity despite its lighter weight, and the lightweight shaft is designed to increase swing speed. Golfers that have reviewed this club found its combination of distance and forgiveness as a main advantage. PING G15 Ping uses an external weight pad is located in the rear sole to hit the ball as high and low spin. Rather than reducing the weight of the club head, they placed the center of gravity in the axle closest to the handle end of the club. Golfers who have used it like its stable feel and call it very forgiving. COBRA S3 MAX DRIVE This driver is produced for mid to high-handicap golfers. Cobra uses an elliptical face and inclined perimeter, producing a sweet spot which they believed better reflects the profile of miss-hits that the average golfer produces. This results in the face having a 30% larger sweet spot. TITLEIST 910D2 The 16 adjustable parameters settings on the hosel of the club allows for the loft angle to be manipulated independently. This optimizes launch conditions for each player. It has a crown thinner than previous Titleist drivers, which helps lower the center of gravity. Reviewers liked the club adjustability factor. As mentioned above, these new hot golf drivers available on the market are not all that are out there this year. However, it gives a representative sample of what some of the largest golf club manufacturers have to offer. Therefore, it appears that the new crop this year of something for golf clubs for all. Using the right driver to get off the tee is a necessary way to play consistent golf. Read more about ways you can draw a golf ball on our website http://golflonggame.com/.
