We had only lived in our house for about three years when all of the sudden, we did not have hot water anymore. Literally, when we turned the nozzle for hot water, no water would come our of the faucet at all. I was sure that we had paid our bills, and upon checking with both the water works and the gas company, everything should have been fine. When I checked the water heater, the pilot light was on and the tank seemed to be full of water, but nothing would come out. Not being particularly handy, I called over a friend of mine with a better track record. He checked everything that he knew, but to no avail. After two days without a shower, I finally broke down and called in a mechanic. When the man arrived, he checked some things that were above my pay grade and told me that the problem was that the water heater was just too old. Even though everything seemed to be working, what had happened was that the mineral and hard water build up on the inside of the tank had finally gummed up the works, and that there really was not much that he could do about it. He recommended that we have a new water heater installed as soon as possible. I thought it would be expensive, but it was covered by our homeowners insurance. We scheduled the replacement for the next day, showered at a relative's place, and in no time had our own hot water up and running again. The Water Heater Experts was founded on the concept of providing a better solution for hot water heaters Charlotte replacements. (http://www.thewaterheaterexperts.com)
