On the occasion of the Bologna Exhibition (18-21 March), the Plastics Division is launching a range of products whose names evoke four great heroines from the world of opera. The stage will be set at stand B37 in Hall 19, and will also feature the Division's products for the hotel sector and its low environmental impact packs, including bottles made using bioplastic resins. Spotlight on Beauty Countdown to the next edition of Cosmopack, held in Bologna from 18 to 21 March. The Plastics Division will be in there among the exhibitors (Hall 19, Stand B37) with a display featuring various novelties, including its new lines of bottles for cosmetics. Each of the four bottles is named after a heroine from operas by Verdi and Bellini. “Leading Ladies” such as Alzira, the beautiful Peruvian heroine of Cammarano's libretto, appealing to the sophisticated woman who takes great care of her body and her image: the angular shape and the square base of this PETG pack are sure to never pass unnoticed. The Leonora line, on the other hand, offers simple but elegantly shaped bottles in PETG and PE. These extremely versatile bottles with a cylindrical base and flowing elongated form have been concieved especially for products such as bath foams, shampoos, hair creams and hair styling products in general. The Plastic Division also premieres the Luisa line, consisting of PE bottles with an oval base designed as liquid soap dispensers. Completing the very special cast assembled by the Plastics Division, Norma is the name given to a line of small-sized PE bottles (capacity 7, 10, 15 and 25 mls). These mini sizes are particularly suitable for the hair and skin treatment segments. The company also offers twin-phase options where, thanks to a special closure system, the active principles are only released at the moment of use and therefore are better for maintaining their freshness and potency. As always, on the basis of its standard lines the Plastics Division also offers cliente companies a wide range of Custom Made solutions and options for personalised packaging. Environmental friendliness Cosmopak will also see preview presentations of various latest-generation fillers which are capable of increasing barrier and mechanical performance in PLA bottles, thus prolonging product shelf-life without diminishing the element of biodegradability that makes this bioplastic so special. And to top this off, for client companies that wish to associate themselves with an ecological message by using packaging with low environmental impact, Bormioli Rocco also offers packs made of recycled or biodegradable materials such as the 100% recycled PET – with its excellent visual transparency and clarity – and HDPE-R, or also by using materials derived from renewable sources.
