Captan 50W is a fungicide, a product with multiple usages. It is used to protect the ornamentals and fruits from getting affected by bacteria, fungus and many harmful insects which destroy the crop. This fungicide is so light that it can easily mix with water readily. It is helpful in controlling damping-off, powdery mildew, botrytis blossom blights, brown rots, rust, late blights and early blights which normally occur in vegetables, fruits and ornamental crops caused by harmful effects of insects and bacteria. Captan 50W can be used with water in the form of spray and is very effective in controlling certain types of fungus affected diseases in many types of crops including vegetable crops, fruits and many types of ornamental crops which are prone to these types of diseases if not given proper care and protection. It is also very helpful in treating soil. The soil treatment is done for controlling some types of seed rots & diseases which can cause damping off in seeds. This fungicide has many uses as it can control scabs in apple, brown rots on the peaches, black rots in grapes, black spots on the roses & many more types of diseases causing rotting and other types of harm in plants and crops. Captan 50W has content in it called boride spreader sticker which helps in improving the performance of the chemicals present in it. This product is sold in LB. the product can be safely combined with almost all commonly used fungicides in a recommended dose apart from oil & alkaline materials which are strong as some types of alkaline can effect the fungicidal properties of this product. It is strongly recommended not to be combined with oily materials as the crop which has been or will be treated using Captan 50W can get damaged if the oily material get mixed with it.
