Curacao - The island of Paradise

Real Estate,International Property,Travel & Tourism
If you see a HOUSES FOR SALE IN CURACAO, you can be guaranteed that you will be greeted most days by the sunny warm and charming weather on the Island. Curacao (Pronounced `koo-rah-sow´) Is a paradise destination which is actually relatively unknown to a lot of people. It has stunning architecture with dutch colonial buildings and the traditional Caribbean feel all rolled into one. The island has around 55 different nationalities which creates a purely individual feel to the island, the main languages spoken on the island are – English, Spanish, Dutch and their own language – Papiamento. The Island is Cosmopolitan, but at the same time very simple and of course beautiful.

The Island of Curacao is located in the South of the Caribbean Sea, and it is just off the coast of Venezuela and is the most populated and largest of the three ABC Islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao). The island makes up part of the Netherland Antilles which is a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The Capital of Curacao is Willemstad which incorporates a busy port that sees a lot of traffic from the islands large oil refinery and also there are cruise ships docking there frequently so this makes the city fairly busy. Curacao is one of the most prosperous parts of the Caribbean Region.

There are Coral Reefs just off the islands coast which it is also well known for and some of the worlds best divers have been to visit the island so that they can experience the dive here also it is very good to snorkel and famous snorkelers have also visited. The best places to dive on the island are in the Southern part of the island. Curacao is especially interesting as the sea floor drops off steeply within a few hundred feet of the shore so there is no need for a boat, just a nice leisurely swim out to the dive spots is needed. There are lots of Bays and inlets on the island which are good for mooring, so if you do have a boat then there will be no problem finding somewhere to leave it.

Curacao's climate is semi-arid which may be a surprise, it is similar to the Southwestern US with lots of Cactus, evergreen and warm weather native plants. The island can be likened to Hawaii so if you have ever visited there then you will know roughly what to expect from Curacao. The Hurricane season generally misses Curacao most of the time as it is in a position which is slightly away from the hurricane belt. The islands highest point is Christoffel berg which is 1,230 feet high in the northwestern part of the island. There are lots of different foods to try out on the island and one of the native foods is called Stoba, it is a stew made from lots of different ingredients, like papaya and goat or beef. Stoba is a major dish of Curacao and part of the traditional food known as Krioyo.

So when you have found your HOUSES FOR SALE IN CURACAO, why not go and explore your surroundings and try out some of the local delicacies.
