Having a hedging plant is also best if you want to cut cost or save money. Having a concrete, wood or brick fencing is expensive compared to a garden hedge. In fact this natural fencing becomes more effective through the years because once a garden hedge is fully grown, it will be more effective than the traditional barbed wire fencing. Based on the number of homeowners who chooses to have hedging plants as their fence, these are the kinds of hedging plant that they commonly use. 1. Leylandii Hedging - This is very green in color and it is normally 4 feet in tall. Leaves are not present in this kind of plant but the branches are small and goes from network to network that's why the whole plant stands very sturdy and can positively offer the owners superb privacy and security. It also grows extra fast that is why this kind of garden hedge is the most popular of its kind. 2. Laurel Hedge - This is similar to Leylandii when it comes to the color but this Laurel hedge have very large green leaves that have a lustrous look. This type of garden hedge is known to grow up to 15 feet high so this is perfect for houses that are 2 to 3 storey high. 3. Photinia Hedge - This is very similar to the laurel hedge because it can also grow extremely tall. The Photinia has a lot of bush plus it is more attractive than the others because the new sprouts are red in color and turns very green when matured. So if you look at this hedge, you will see a mixture of reds and greens which creates a very dramatic look. 4. Murraya Paniculata Hedge - this is a shrub like hedge that grows at a maximum of 4m. The color is very green with tiny white flowers that are very fragrant to the smell which is said to be similar to a jasmine scent. 5. Acmena smithii hedge - also known as Lilly Pilly.
