All the people around the world dream and envisage of a place to live in where no worries are in sight, no fears are to be found, and no insecurities about life could be shaped and experienced. All people dream of living their lives fully and enjoy such to the maximum. Ours is a world of mystery and rich discovery. People want to explore the world, its beauty and its substance. But we have such a big world. Only a few, or none whatsoever, has gotten to experience all the Earth has to offer. This was primarily because of our short life-span that makes us fall far short of achieving all our intimate desires. This is because of death’s rise to picture. Death has been feared by quite a good portion of the population. But, accidental deaths and deaths caused by crimes had remarkably made a tremor on the people’s minds. The inability of the state to provide a crime-free society makes it accountable for the destruction of the society itself. There is, therefore, a need to promote Community Safety that will serve as a social construct and eventually lead people to a genuine life while defying for all times the fear of sudden death. But due to the advent of institutions that seek to foster such, and with the rise of security plans and systems, and the evolution of crime-fighting technology, and the formulation of pertinent laws, people are now more ready to respond to their everyday endeavors and tasks without the fear of losing their own lives, or those of the others. Community Safety delves into the propagation of campaigns that resist and oppose insurgencies, terror threats, coups and all the others that junk the notions of public order and safety. Safety campaigns were then made and put to light to ensure the enactment of laws, thus marginalizing the power of those wishing to destroy the peace and order. Innovative approaches are now made as in the case of the utilization of personal and private security guards, so as the use of surveillance technologies that will stop, prevent and haunt the criminals. These surveillance technologies not just ensure the safety of the peoples but also of their properties and of their cherished assets. Community Safety vies for the responsibility to promote the concept of community which is capable of effacing and resolving the terminal effects and possible consequences of criminalities and other related anti-social disciplines.
