Usually when you purchase a through the wall air conditioner unit, it?s a good idea to have it installed by a professional, because many of the steps that you will need to take during the installation have to be completely precise for the through the wall air conditioner to be completely effective and work within its optimum parameters. The first step that a professional will take when it?s time to install the through the wall air conditioner is to measure a slot to be cut into your wall that will perfectly fit the air conditioning unit. If the slot isn?t measured correctly, you may have trouble with your air conditioning unit, so make sure that you choose to work with a professional who is qualified to do this type of work. Once the slot is measured and cut out of your wall, the through the wall air conditioning unit is ready to begin installation. The first step of this process is to install a support sleeve into the wall that is going to hold your air conditioning unit in place and keep the weight of the air conditioning unit from pressing directly into your wall. After this, a smaller hole will be cut from the external wall of your office or home, in which the exhaust vent for you air conditioning unit will be placed. This exhaust system is then connected to the vent and the air conditioning unit is ready to be placed into the support sleeve. Simply plug your new unit into a power outlet, and begin cooling your home or office.
