With present economic struggles, high electrical bills, and food supplies skyrocketing, being healthy and fit might not seem a great idea. That’s because when you think of fitness, all you can think of is hitting the gym. Now who said being fit should be costly? Ironically, it seems that our fingers are the only part of our body that is exercised enough. Always in front of your computer or laptop, always texting, or always dialing phone numbers; these are the only exercise some people have nowadays. This must be mainly because other people thinks that being healthy and fit are costly. That’s where they are wrong. You need not bother your conscience as you can make your own fitness gym at home and make nutritious foods that are very cheap. DVD exercises doesn’t cost much right? Even so, you can purchase or even improvise in your fitness tools like dumbbells or weight benches. There are also a handful of fun activities that can be done with your family like running, jogging, or biking. Some exercises are even imbued on your daily house chores! Gardening, washing the clothes or plates, and by cleaning the house – these activities can already help you get in good shape. Just make sure that the activities that you will be doing will not get you bored form time to time. Next would be your nutritional needs. Healthy eating doesn’t mean a shopping spree at the grocer’s store. An economical choice would be to grow your own food! Vegetables are relatively easy to grow, and you can be sure that it is safe from other chemicals; and vegetables do contain the most of the nutrition you and your family needs. Planting, tilling the soil, watering and harvesting can also contribute in keeping you fit and healthy. It is also a great way to remove some stress away and have fun with family bonding moments. Kids will surely have fun and build up interest when they see the crops grow little by little and they can also learn how to make their own garden. Improvising can be the most practical choice that we can ever make in this present global situation. Learning to survive in a hungry and stressful world will be the best knowledge that we can have. So don’t let money and resources stop you and your family from keeping fit and healthy. There are countless practical ways out there; you just have to open your eyes and be wise.
