First, you have to ensure you’re buying the correct components and that they’re properly configured. Next, you should be using parts that have been built and tested. Do you really think those assembly line workers are testing the parts before they fasten them in? And lastly, it means you need to invest in a high-quality warranty program on every feature. The most standard warranty to come by these days typically covers a year of parts and labor, and shipping is almost always the consumer’s responsibility. Considering the typical shelf life of systems is on average three years, an ideal warranty would protect you for the duration of ownership. Twelve short months gets you virtually nowhere, and you will be beyond frustrated with the “support” you’re offered. Instead, I suggest you either take the time to learn how to build your own trading computer with high-quality, well-supported products backed by reasonable longevity and warranty. Alternatively, you can invest in having one custom built for you.
